The most difficult weeding job is to extract plants that take root in the narrow crevices between bricks or in sidewalk cracks. This tool has a thin but strong blade that slips deep into cracks (As deep as 3") and drags the weed out by its roots. The blade is not sharpened and therefore does not cut the roots, leaving them to throw more growth. (Did you know that trees and vines taking root between building blocks are the greatest threat to ancient ruins -- more damaging than acid rain or human vandalism?)

Not as pictured

It is a sturdy well constructed tool. That where it ends. The ergonomics are not so good. The one pictured on the web site shows a nice hook shape to the blade. The one I received has a straight blade with the blade oriented at 90 degrees to the handle. It puts ones hand and wrist in an awkward position to use the tool. It does not grab crevice debris very well. To say the least, I am disappointed.

I bought one of these from you a couple years ago. I use it to weed my many brick paths in my gardens. I have no desire to use chemicals so this tool is perfect for that chore. Good quality tool.
